Whistler Blue Note 7 Year Old
For our first whiskey sample of 2017 we are happy to offer a relatively new single malt from one of the newly formed distilleries in Ireland.
Whistler 7 Year-Old Blue Note is an Irish single malt that has just won a Gold Medal at the World Whiskey Awards. It was aged in ex-Bourbon barrels and has been finished in the finest oloroso sherry casks. Like most good whiskeys it is not chill filtered and is bottled at 46%. Boann Distillery’s Whistler range also includes 10 year-old and cask strength single malts which are well worth investigating.
Please note that there is a change in the planned date for our usual tweet tasting.
This will now take place on Monday 20th March at 7.30pm.
As usual we will be tweeting from @celticwhiskeycl and this time the hashtag will be #whistler7
If you have not taken part in our tweet tastings before then feel free to join in for some informative and enjoyable chat. It takes about half an hour from start to finish and is a great way to share your thoughts on the whiskey.
